Current Members of the Panhandle Regional Organization to Maximize Public Transportation
Terms of Office
Terms of all members are three years. Member terms are not staggered. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman serve a term of two years and are elected at the third meeting of the body in the election year. In order to be eligible for voting membership, a person must represent the interest for which a member is sought, be willing to participate in the regional public transportation planning process, and abide by the bylaws.
Planning group members are encouraged to attend regular meetings of the PROMPT advisory group. Member responsibilities include:
Representing their respective interest categories in the regional public transportation planning process
Developing a regionally coordinated public transportation plan that serves the entire region and takes into consideration all of the needs of target populations
Ensuring the adoption of a regionally coordinated public transportation plan by the statutory deadline that meets all requirements
